I started this blog beacue I have a very large, close, extended family. We all celebrate holidays and birthdays larger than life. When you have 50 + christmas gifts to create each year you have to get creative. Otherwise the holidays will make you go broke!
I love giving gifts to my family. Growing up I was taught that a handmade gift is worth more than any store bought gift, it is priceless. I spend the entire year hunting the web and books for the perfect gift for each family member.

A lot of things have shaped me to the person I am today. Some good, some bad. None that I regret. Growing up I lived in a small Oklahoma town before moving to a large suburb. I went to Oklahoma State where I met and fell in love with the man I now call husband. Shortly after that my husband joined the military and I stepped into the role of military wife. While we were living so far from friends and family I came to rely on email and blogging as a way to stay in touch with friends, family, and my husband while he was deployed. I grew to love the independence that came with living so far away as well as the East Coast way of life. Now that my husband is out of the service we are once again living in Green Country Oklahoma. I am very happy to be home but I deeply miss the life and Urban Family we built while away.
